(2021) My work occupies three broad (and overlapping fields of interest) through an interaction of composition, analysis, pedagogy and technological engagement. Hidden Music – the translation of objective data into music. Time-feel – an exploration of (particularly micro-) rhythmic expression and M-Space – compositional and performance works characterised by a blending of style, function, and the electro-acoustic domains. Central too is the guitar and my role as Deputy Directory of the International Guitar Research Centre.
