Kronókosmos is an ongoing series of ‘Expressive Rhythmic Etudes For All Instruments”. It aims to introduce and draw attention to time-feel aspects to (primarily) notation-reading instrumentalists outside of the jazz genre. It is presented in standard notation and circular graphic notation, with accompanying audio. The examples occasionally ‘quote’ the time-feel of artists, but it remains intentionally open in terms of style. Later editions will offer options to integrate the Mingus application in the studies.
